Dear Nicoll,
You will recall discussing the proposed economic and social survey in the New Territories with Barrow and Surridge when you were in London recently and asking for arrangements to be made for you to see Professor Firth of the London School of Economics.
I understand from Grimwood that you will be back in London on the 15th of this month and I bave accordingly arranged a meeting with Professor Firth for you.
He suggests that you should lunch with him on Wednesday, the 17th May and would like you to call at his room, No. 204 at the London School of Economics at Houghton Street, Aldwych, W.C. 2. at a few minutes after 12.30 p.m.; Hall will also be going along. Perhaps you would let me now whether this would be convenient for you and I will then confirm the date with Professor Firth.
In connection with the survey that itself Profes or Firth mentioned that he has a very competent post graduate student who bas been thinking of going out to Hong Kong University whom he thought might be very useful in connection with such a survey as that proposed. He said that he would sound her, quite informally, on the matter and pos ibly bring her along to meet you on the 17th. A further matter in connection with the proposed survey has also cropped up recently. You may remember shortly before you came on
